Amparo Sanchez was sixteen when she first appeared in the Correcaminos in 1986. After a few years she made up her own band, Amparo & the Gang, and moved to Madrid. Her interests in music were jazz, soul, blues and rock as well. In the 90´enriched by latino and carribean influence she set up Amparanoia. In 2008 the time has come that Amparo moved forward and worked out her first solo album and sing out more personal vibes. Her album, the Tucson-Habana was created with the cooperation of the american Calexico. Amparo met Joey Burnst and John Convertino in 2006 summer, since then they have been working together for a longer period.
