Zamárdi
Zamárdi is located on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, near Siófok. Its free beach stretches 3.9 km long along the lake. Since the lake is relatively shallow here, the water warms up quickly, thus providing a pleasant time for visitors even at the beginning of the summer. You can get the most amazing view of the Tihany peninsula and abbey from here. The magic spectacle of the sunset known as the “golden bridge” is an unforgettable experience for the onlookers on the shore.
How can i get to the festival?
The easiest way to get to Zamárdi is by car. Since Zamárdi is only 110 km from Budapest, you can get there within an hour on the M7 motorway. (Note that the M7 motorway ends at Zamárdi.)
It is also easy to get to the Balaton Sound Festival by train or by bus. For detailed timetables visit www.elvira.hu for trains and www.volan.hu for buses.
For those of you coming from the northern shore of Balaton, we recommend you to take the ferry. Boats from Tihany to Szántód leave every 40 minutes.
